Chasing Sunrise at Lengkung Langit 2 - Worth Visiting for Solo Travelers?

A Peaceful Hilltop with Beautiful Photo Spots I visited Lengkung Langit 2 during a solo trip around Lampung, and honestly, the atmosphere felt calm in a very simple way. Surrounded by green hills, wooden platforms, swings, and sky-view photo spots, this place feels perfect for slow traveling and casual photography. The best part for me was arriving early in the morning when the air was still cold and the hills were covered with soft mist. It didnโt feel crowded, so I could enjoy taking photos without rushing. Is It Worth Visiting Alone? For those who enjoy solo traveling, quiet places, and scenic photography, I think this spot is worth adding to your list. I personally enjoyed walking around with my camera and simply appreciating the view without any schedule. Letโs Discuss ๐๐ป Have you ever visited Lengkung Langit 2? ๐๐ป Whatโs your favorite photo spot there? Do you prefer visiting hill destinations during sunrise or sunset? Would you do a solo photography trip to places like this?

Bangsring Underwater, Banyuwangi, Indonesia : The Day I Swam Beside Gentle Sharks

Has anyone here visited Bangsring Underwater in Banyuwangi? I recently spent a morning there, and honestly, it was one of the most memorable marine experiences I've had in East Java. At first, I was nervous about entering the shark conservation area. The word shark naturally sounds intimidating. But the moment I stepped onto the floating platform and saw the blacktip reef sharks swimming calmly beneath the clear water, that fear slowly turned into fascination. Swimming alongside them felt surprisingly peaceful. They moved gracefully through the water, completely uninterested in humans. It reminded me that many sharks are far less dangerous than the movies make them seem. Why Visit Bangsring Underwater? A Conservation Project You Can Experience What makes Bangsring special is that it isn't just a tourist attraction. The area was developed by local fishermen who transformed damaged marine ecosystems into a successful conservation project. Today, visitors can enjoy the ocean while also learning about marine protection. Highlights include: ๐๐ป Swimming with gentle sharks ๐๐ป Feeding colorful fish ๐๐ป Snorkeling above coral reefs ๐๐ป Visiting the floating house (Rumah Apung) ๐๐ป Boat trips to Tabuhan Island My Favorite Moment Surrounded by Hundreds of Fish The most magical part wasn't actually the sharks. It was standing in waist-deep water while hundreds of colorful fish gathered around me during feeding time. The water was so clear that every movement beneath the surface felt like watching a living aquarium. For a few minutes, I completely forgot about my phone and camera. I simply enjoyed being present in the moment. Travel Tips for Visiting Bangsring Underwater How to Get There ๐๐ป Located in Bangsring Village, Banyuwangi, East Java ๐๐ป Around 45โ60 minutes by car from Banyuwangi city center ๐๐ป Easily accessible by private vehicle, rental scooter, or online taxi Best Time to Visit ๐๐ป April to October for calmer seas and clearer water ๐๐ป Arrive before 9 AM for fewer crowds and better visibility Entrance Fee Prices may change, but generally: ๐๐ป Entrance ticket: around IDR 10,000โ20,000 ๐๐ป Snorkeling equipment rental: around IDR 30,000โ50,000 ๐๐ป Boat transfers and shark conservation activities may have additional fees Local Etiquette ๐๐ป Do not touch the sharks or coral reefs ๐๐ป Follow instructions from local guides ๐๐ป Avoid littering in the conservation area ๐๐ป Support local businesses and fishermen whenever possible Discussion Have You Ever Swum With Sharks? I'd love to hear your experience and travel tips for future visitors.
The 10 Tastings of Jakarta: Is This the Best Street Food Tour in Indonesia?
I recently joined The 10 Tastings of Jakarta, and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable ways to experience the city's food culture beyond the usual tourist attractions. The tour took me through hidden alleys, the lively streets of Blok M, and the historic Glodok Chinatown area. I got to try authentic Soto Betawi, Kerak Telor, and several traditional Indonesian snacks while learning the stories behind each neighborhood from the local guide. It felt like discovering a side of Jakarta that many visitors often miss. The experience reminded me that everyone enjoys food tours differently. Some travelers love visiting iconic food spots, while others prefer discovering small local vendors hidden away from the crowds. That's what makes every food journey unique. I'd love to hear about your favorite street food experiences or hidden local food gems. I'm always looking for new places to add to my next trip, so feel free to share your recommendations and stories!

Backpacking in Ubud: Sharing My Stay at Goutama Homestay
Iโm planning a backpacking trip to Ubud and found Goutama Homestay, located on Jl. Gootama in the heart of Ubud. It looks like a budget-friendly place with a traditional homestay atmosphere, while still offering hotel-style comfort. Iโm thinking of staying here as part of my itinerary because the central location could make it easier to explore Ubud on foot and experience the local area. Has anyone from the LocallyTrip community stayed at Goutama Homestay? How was your experience with the room, hospitality, location, and overall value? Would love to hear tips from fellow Indonesian backpackers or travelers who have stayed there!
Family Time at Big Garden Corner - Is It Worth Visiting with Kids in Bali?

A Place That Felt Simpler Than I Expected I visited Big Garden Corner in Sanur with the thought that it would only be another family park with photo spots. But after spending a slow afternoon there, I realized the place carried something more gentle. It wasnโt grand. It wasnโt famous like Baliโs beaches or temples. But somehow, it felt easy to stay. There were children running between statues, parents sitting under the shade, and the quiet sound of conversations mixing with birds and wind. The place had that rare feeling where no one seemed in a hurry. What Makes Big Garden Corner Good for Families? A Comfortable Mix of Play and Rest What stood out first was how open everything felt. The paths were easy to walk, and the garden had enough space for children to move freely without feeling crowded. The playground became the center of attention for many families. Kids laughed, climbed, and kept finding new corners to explore. Nearby, there were miniature landmarks and creative sculptures that made even simple walks feel playful. For adults, it offered something else. Sometimes I think family places are designed only for children, but here I noticed parents actually enjoying themselves too. The garden benches, the artistic statues, and the calm atmosphere made it pleasant to simply sit and watch the afternoon pass. Things I Learned Before Visiting Go Earlier in the Day I arrived in the late afternoon, and while the light was beautiful, some areas were already warmer than expected. If youโre visiting with children, morning feels easier. The paths have little shade in some sections, so bringing water and simple sun protection helps. Donโt Rush Through It At first, I thought this was a quick stop. But the longer I stayed, the more the place made sense. Itโs not somewhere to โfinishโ quickly. It works best when you let children explore naturally and stop chasing a schedule. Thatโs when the small moments appear. A child laughing near a sculpture. Parents sharing snacks under a tree. The quiet comfort of seeing everyone doing nothing important, together. The Small Details I Remember Most More Than Just Photo Spots Big Garden Corner is known for its sculptures and miniature displays, and yes, they are interesting for photos. But what stayed with me wasnโt the camera. It was the feeling of ordinary family time. The food stalls nearby gave the place a local warmth. Simple meals, cold drinks, and children asking for one more snack before going home. It reminded me that family travel doesnโt always need big attractions. Sometimes, a garden is enough. Iโm Curious About Other Family Spots Too Have You Been Somewhere Similar in Bali? Big Garden Corner made me appreciate slow family destinations places where children can play while adults actually relax. Iโd love to hear from others: ๐๐ป Have you visited Big Garden Corner with family? Did your kids enjoy the playground or the photo spots more? Are there other hidden family-friendly places in Bali that feel this calm? Sometimes the best family memories happen in places no one talks about first.
Surga Maratua, Kami Mencintai Dasar Laut Biru Kehijauan

Walking Through Silence at Ullen Sentalu Museum, Sleman

A Museum That Felt Like Entering Another Memory I visited Ullen Sentalu in Sleman expecting a museum. What I found felt more like stepping into a forgotten chapter of Java. Hidden among the cool hills of Kaliurang, the museum did not feel loud like many tourist places. The stone walls, garden paths, and underground corridors created a silence that made every step feel meaningful. It was as if history had been waiting there quietly, untouched by time. Following Stories Beneath the Earth The Underground Corridors The guided tour took me through narrow pathways, dim tunnels, and artistic chambers where old stories lived in paintings, letters, and objects from the Mataram Kingdom. The air felt cold. The walls held moisture. And somehow, the quiet made every word from the guide sound deeper than usual. I wasnโt only listening to history. I felt like I was walking inside it. The Beauty of Javanese Memory What moved me most was not the royal artifacts. It was how the museum presented them slowly, gently, almost like poetry. Portraits of princesses, handwritten letters, batik, and old music created an atmosphere that felt deeply personal. It reminded me that kingdoms are not only built with power, but also with longing, art, and silence. Why Ullen Sentalu Stays in My Mind This is often called one of the best museums in Indonesia, and after visiting, I understood why. Ullen Sentalu does not simply display objects. It tells stories through space, sound, and emotion. The architecture itself becomes part of the narrative, making every corridor feel alive. I left the museum with a strange feeling calm, but full of questions about the people who once lived behind those names and walls. Letโs Talk Have you visited Ullen Sentalu Museum in Sleman? Which part stayed with you the most the underground tunnel, the royal stories, or the peaceful architecture? And do you know other museums in Indonesia that feel immersive like this, where history feels less like information and more like an experience?

Exploring Contemporary Art at Museum MACAN, Jakarta

I recently visited Museum MACAN (Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara) in West Jakarta, and it felt different from the museums I usually go to. The space was modern, quiet, and full of installations that made me stop longer than I expected. Some artworks were playful, some confusing, and some stayed in my head even after leaving. A Museum That Feels More Personal Than Formal Museum MACAN has a mix of Indonesian and international contemporary art. I liked how some rooms felt immersive, not just something to look at, but something to walk into and experience. The exhibitions change regularly, so each visit can feel different depending on whatโs showing. What Part Interested You the Most? Iโm curious how other people experience this place. Do you enjoy contemporary art museums? Or do you prefer traditional museums with history and artifacts? Which installation or exhibition stayed in your mind? Was there any room or artwork that made you stop and think longer? Any similar art spaces in Indonesia? If you know museums or galleries in other cities with a similar atmosphere, share them too.
