As a dog owner, finding a truly pet-friendly space while traveling is not always easy.

But in Bangkok, I found something refreshing: BMA Dog Park, located inside Lumpini Park and Benjakitti Park.

Both parks offer designated spaces where dogs can actually run free, socialize, and just be dogs — not just leashed companions on sidewalks.

Why I Like This Place

The atmosphere feels relaxed and welcoming.

Early mornings and late afternoons are the best time — cooler weather, friendly local dog owners, and a good mix of small and large breeds.

There’s a sense of community here. People don’t just bring their pets to exercise; they stay, talk, and connect.

Lumpini vs Benjakitti – Which One is Better?

• Shaded areas with mature trees

• Feels more classic and green

Benjakitti Park Dog Zone

• More modern park layout

• Cleaner open space

• Great sunset atmosphere

Personally, I enjoy Benjakitti for sunset walks, but Lumpini feels more established and social.

• Dogs must be registered (local rules apply)

• Vaccination records may be required

• Keep the area clean (very important)

• Best time: 6–9 AM or after 5 PM
