Curious About Traditional Village Life in Jeju

I’m planning to visit Seongeup Folk Village in Jeju and thinking about staying in one of the local homestays there. The village looks interesting because many of the old stone houses are still preserved, and people still live with traditions that have been passed down for generations.

I feel like staying overnight could be very different from just walking around during the day.

Looking for Real Experience

I’m interested in experiencing the quiet atmosphere of the village after most visitors leave. Sleeping in a traditional stone house, trying homemade local food, and seeing daily life in a more authentic way sounds meaningful.

But I’m also wondering:

Is staying in a homestay there comfortable enough for solo travelers?

Are hosts usually open to sharing local stories or cultural activities?

Is one night enough, or better to stay longer?

If anyone has stayed at Seongeup Folk Village, I’d really like to hear your experience.

Or if you know similar traditional village stays in Korea or elsewhere, feel free to share too
