About This Discussion

Hi everyone,

I'm currently traveling to Dubai by sea while working remotely. Any recommendations for a yacht or sailing option with fast WiFi and a remote-work-friendly setup?

Would love to hear your experience. ā›µšŸ’»šŸŒ

If staying productive is your priority during the journey to Dubai, I’d recommend looking for a modern catamaran or yacht equipped with Starlink. Several remote workers I’ve met prefer this setup because the connection is much more reliable for video meetings, file uploads, and daily communication compared to older satellite internet systems.

@dev_sadhil Thanks for the recommendation. I've also heard great things about Starlink for remote work. A stable connection for meetings and daily tasks is definitely one of my top priorities during this trip.

Based on my experience, a motor yacht is a better option for long-distance travel because it's faster and usually comes with more complete onboard facilities. If you're planning to work every day while traveling, comfort and travel stability are just as important as internet speed.

@elifyilmaz That's a great point. I'm currently trying to find the right balance between travel experience and maintaining a productive work routine while at sea.

You may want to check premium yacht operators in the Middle East region. Some of them offer dedicated lounge areas that work well as temporary workspaces, along with reliable WiFi, power outlets, and comfortable seating for long working hours.

@firman_330 Thank you for the suggestion. Having a comfortable workspace onboard would definitely make a big difference since I'll be working throughout the journey.
