If you're looking for the best street food in Malaysia, I highly recommend visiting George Town in Penang. The city is famous for its food culture and offers amazing local dishes like Char Kway Teow, Penang Asam Laksa, and Hokkien Mee. Most of the best stalls open in the evening, and the atmosphere is great for exploring different flavors in one area.

One place you shouldn't miss is Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur. It's one of the most popular street food destinations in Malaysia, with countless food stalls serving grilled seafood, satay, noodles, and local desserts. The street becomes very lively at night and is perfect for a food-hunting experience.

I would also suggest checking out local night markets. Taman Connaught Night Market is one of the largest in Kuala Lumpur and has an incredible variety of food. It's a great place to try different Malaysian, Chinese, and Indian-inspired dishes without spending too much money.
