My Trekking Experience at Qigu Salt Mountain, Tainan 🥾

I recently had the chance to visit Qigu Salt Mountain in Tainan, Taiwan, and it was such a unique trekking experience. 🥾🧂 Walking up the white salt covered mountain felt completely different from the usual hiking trails I’ve experienced. The landscape was surprisingly beautiful, and reaching the top gave me a chance to slow down and take in the scenery around Qigu. The trek itself was manageable, but I’d definitely recommend wearing comfortable shoes, bringing enough water, and using sunscreen, especially if you visit during the hotter hours. The bright salt surface can also make the sunlight feel quite intense. What I enjoyed most was simply experiencing something so different from Taiwan’s typical mountain scenery.
