Malaysia Street Food Recommendations?

If you love a street food destination with endless options, I highly recommend Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur. The place comes alive at night, and the variety of food is incredible. You can find satay, grilled seafood, chicken wings, char kway teow, and all kinds of traditional Malaysian desserts. What I enjoy most is the lively atmosphere you can simply walk along the street and choose from dozens of food stalls lined up on both sides. It's a perfect place for first-time visitors because you can sample many famous Malaysian dishes in one location.

I wouldn't miss Gurney Drive Hawker Centre in Penang. Many travelers consider Penang the food capital of Malaysia, and after visiting, I can understand why. Some must-try dishes are Penang Asam Laksa, Char Kway Teow, Hokkien Mee, and Cendol. The flavors are unique and quite different from what I've tasted elsewhere. The food is also reasonably priced, making it a great option for travelers. If you have extra time, I would even suggest spending a few days in Penang just exploring its incredible food scene.
