Jebel Hafit Travel Tips Needed

I visited Jebel Hafit last winter and highly recommend arriving at least 60–90 minutes before sunset. The drive itself is part of the experience, so don't rush to the top. There are several viewpoints along the road where you can stop for photos of the mountain landscape and the city of Al Ain below. Bring water, sunglasses, and a light jacket because it can get surprisingly windy and cooler at the summit, especially after sunset. If you're driving, make sure your fuel tank is reasonably full since there are limited services once you start heading up the mountain.

Besides the mountain itself, consider exploring some nearby attractions in Al Ain if you have extra time. Many travelers combine Jebel Hafit with a visit to the hot springs area at the base of the mountain or spend some time exploring the city's cultural sites. For photography, the golden hour before sunset offers the best lighting conditions. If you're visiting on a weekend, try to leave Abu Dhabi earlier in the afternoon to avoid heavier traffic and secure a good parking spot near the summit. Also, keep an eye on the weather forecast because hazy conditions can sometimes reduce visibility.
