First Impression

I’ve been looking into Pesta Keboen in Semarang, and honestly… it looks like one of those places you want to try at least once.

Vintage garden vibes, a mix of Indonesian and Western dishes, and a setting that feels both nostalgic and curated.

But then I checked the prices.

And it made me pause.

💸 Budget vs What You Get

From what I’ve seen:

👉🏻 Mains range around IDR 40K – 100K+

👉🏻 Drinks and desserts can easily add up

👉🏻 Total per person could land around IDR 80K – 150K+

Not exactly street food cheap, but not fine dining either.

So I’m wondering…

👉 Is the taste + atmosphere really worth the price?

👉 Or is it more about the aesthetic and experience?

🍽️ Food & Experience

Some people say the food is decent, but the real highlight is the ambience greenery, open space, and that “old Semarang” feel.

Others say it’s a bit overrated for the price.

And that’s where I’m curious.

Let’s Discuss 👇

👉🏻 Have you tried Pesta Keboen?

👉🏻 What did you order, and was it worth it?

👉🏻 Would you go back… or recommend alternatives?

I’m trying to decide if this place is a must-try experience or just a once-for-the-photos kind of spot.

I’d go back for the ambience, but not mainly for the food.

For better value and taste, I’d recommend trying local spots instead.

@Dev Sadhil That’s a fair take. Some places are memorable more for their atmosphere than the food itself. It’s great for the experience, while local spots often deliver better value and a more authentic taste.
