Hiking Khao Ngon Nak (Dragon Crest Mountain): Is It the Best Viewpoint in Krabi?
I’ve been looking into Khao Ngon Nak, also known as Dragon Crest Mountain, near Krabi. From what I’ve seen, it looks like one of the most rewarding hikes in the area. The trail leads to a high viewpoint overlooking limestone cliffs, forests, and the Andaman Sea. The photos alone make it look incredible. ## How Challenging Is the Trail? From what I’ve read, the hike is around 3.5–4 km one way and takes about 2–3 hours to reach the summit. The path seems mostly through forest with some steep sections near the top. Many people say the final viewpoint is absolutely worth the effort. But I’m curious how difficult it actually feels in real life. ### Is the View Really That Good? The summit photos show a panoramic view over Krabi’s limestone mountains and coastline, which looks stunning. Some hikers even say it’s one of the best viewpoints in southern Thailand. For those who have been there: 👉🏻 Was the hike difficult or manageable? 👉🏻 Is sunrise or sunset better from the top? 👉🏻 Any tips for the best time to start the hike?
