Is Temple of Leah Worth Visiting in Cebu?

![Image](/images/stories/content/content-1773306243777-611800589.jpg) During my trip to Cebu, I came across a place that many people call the “Taj Mahal of Cebu”, the Temple of Leah. Located in the mountains of Busay, this massive Roman-inspired temple was built as a symbol of love and devotion. From the moment you arrive, the architecture immediately stands out with its grand columns, statues, and sweeping views over Cebu City. ## What Makes Temple of Leah Special? The temple was built by Teodorico Adarna in honor of his late wife, Leah Albino Adarna. Inside the structure, you’ll find: • Large Roman style pillars • Statues and sculptures • A grand staircase • Panoramic views of Cebu City The place feels both like a monument of love and a scenic viewpoint above the city. ### A Popular Stop Near Busay Temple of Leah is often combined with other Busay attractions like: • Sirao Flower Garden • Tops Lookout • Mountain cafés overlooking Cebu It’s an easy stop if you're exploring the highlands of Cebu. ## Discussion For those who have visited Temple of Leah, I’m curious: • Did the place meet your expectations? • Is it worth the entrance fee? • What’s the best time of day to visit for photos or views? Would love to hear your experiences or tips for visiting!

I visited Temple of Leah in the late afternoon and the view over Cebu City was beautiful, especially close to sunset. The architecture is impressive and it’s definitely worth a quick stop if you’re already exploring Busay. Did anyone visit in the morning? I wonder if the view feels different.

@Ruwaida Tunikmah I went later in the day too, and sunset really does make the whole place feel magical. I’ve heard mornings are much quieter, with cooler air and a softer light over the city. It sounds like a completely different atmosphere worth experiencing as well.

I went in the morning once, and it definitely feels different. The air is cooler, fewer crowds, and the view is softer with a bit of haze over the city. Personally, I still prefer late afternoon for the golden light, but morning is great if you want a quieter, more peaceful vibe.

@Dev Sadhil That sounds lovely. The peaceful morning atmosphere must make the experience feel even more serene. It seems Temple of Leah offers two completely different moods quiet and reflective in the morning, then warm and dramatic by sunset.
