I visited Douro Valley last year, and I think a budget of €90–€150 per day is comfortable if you want to enjoy a few wine experiences. Most winery tours with tastings cost around €20–€50, while premium estates can be more expensive. If you're staying in Porto, consider taking the train to Peso da Régua because the journey is scenic and more affordable than renting a car. Don't miss a traditional Port wine tasting overlooking the vineyards it was one of the highlights of my trip.

If you want to save money, try booking winery tours directly instead of through large travel agencies. Many family-owned vineyards offer excellent guided tastings at reasonable prices, and the experience often feels more personal. I'd also recommend visiting during the shoulder seasons (spring or autumn), when accommodation prices are lower and the vineyards are still beautiful. Make sure to reserve popular wineries in advance because they can fill up quickly.
