Searching for a Local Homestay in Malang for Digital Nomad Life

I’m planning to stay in Malang, Indonesia while working remotely and looking for a cozy local homestay suitable for digital nomads. I’m looking for a place with good WiFi, a peaceful atmosphere, a comfortable workspace, and a chance to experience local life in Malang. Do you have any recommendations for local homestays or hidden gems that are friendly for remote workers? I’d love to hear your personal experiences and suggestions. Thank you! 😊

I recommend Namu Guesthouse. It has a cozy local atmosphere, clean rooms, and a quiet environment that works well for remote workers. The location is also convenient to explore cafes and local food spots around Malang.

@dev_sadhil Thanks for the recommendation! It sounds like a perfect place for a slow travel experience. I really appreciate a stay that feels local but still supports a productive work routine.

You can also look around the Ijen Boulevard area. There are several comfortable local stays with a peaceful neighborhood, good cafes nearby, and a relaxing atmosphere for digital nomads.

@abizard Thank you! I’ve heard the Ijen area is beautiful and has a great balance between city life and a calmer environment. I’ll definitely add it to my list.

If you don’t mind staying slightly outside the city, the Batu area is also great. Many local homestays offer fresh air, beautiful surroundings, and a slower lifestyle while still having internet access.

@firman_330 That sounds amazing. I’m actually interested in experiencing a quieter side of Malang, especially somewhere close to nature. Thanks for sharing this hidden gem idea!
