Backpacking in Ubud: Sharing My Stay at Goutama Homestay

I’m planning a backpacking trip to Ubud and found **Goutama Homestay**, located on Jl. Gootama in the heart of Ubud. It looks like a budget-friendly place with a traditional homestay atmosphere, while still offering hotel-style comfort. I’m thinking of staying here as part of my itinerary because the central location could make it easier to explore Ubud on foot and experience the local area. Has anyone from the LocallyTrip community stayed at Goutama Homestay? How was your experience with the room, hospitality, location, and overall value? Would love to hear tips from fellow Indonesian backpackers or travelers who have stayed there! 🇮🇩🎒

I stayed there before! The location is really convenient, especially if you want to explore central Ubud without spending too much on transport.

Gootama Street is one of my favorite areas in Ubud. Lots of cafés, local food, and small shops nearby.

@abizard Sounds perfect for a backpacker itinerary! I definitely want to try some local food around the homestay too. 🍜

If you’re staying there, try exploring early in the morning. Ubud feels much quieter before the crowds arrive.

@ida_rt Thanks for the tip! An early morning walk sounds like a nice way to experience the more peaceful side of Ubud. 🌿
